


The system remained on overnight and has no further warnings as of this writing. Update: After the whole hibernate/restart around 3:30pm PT, I left the USB cable plugged in and continued working with no more power warnings. Has anyone else run across this? How do you convince Windows 10 it's on a desktop PC again? Seems like that is unlikely to be causing Windows to conclude the computer has a battery, or that the fictional battery is discharged when it reports 100% full. NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 2004 for 圆4. Oddly, when I look at the Windows update history, the only thing that installed today was KB4552925, the 2020-05 Cumulative Update for. FWIW, the UPS also shows 100% on its display. The computer is on a UPS, but the UPS is not connected to the PC with USB or a network connection that could lead the computer to know the condition of the battery in the UPS. I'm also seeing a battery icon down in the tray like I see on a laptop and it reports "100% - Battery Fully Charged" if I click on it. Not yesterday, but today I get a big blue pop-up rectangle about every 5-10 minutes in the center of the screen telling me my battery is extremely low.

Today, my DESKTOP computer wanted to install another update, so I let it proceed. I had to reboot, and so I let it install. Yesterday morning my desktop computer updated to the latest 2004 release of Windows 10.
